 FAQs

  •  am currently accepting new clients for telehealth appointments.

**I am only licensed in the state of California, meaning all clients must reside in California in order to engage in therapy with me.

  • I offer in person appointments in Mission Valley on Saturdays only. I also offer walk and talk sessions in San Marcos by request on week days.

  • I accept all major credit cards. Payment will be collected at the end of each session.

  • I have a firm 24 hour cancellation policy. When you schedule with me, I am reserving the time for you and if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, I do not have enough time to allow another client to schedule. For this reason, if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee will apply.

  • You can schedule a free consultation here. On our consultation call, I’ll be able to answer any questions you have, learn more about you, and understand your goals for therapy. If we connect, we can schedule an intake session to begin therapy.

  • I am currently accepting Aetna and United Healthcare insurances. I am also considered an out of network provider for other insurance companies. This means I can provide you with a superbill after sessions and you can submit this to your insurance for full or partial reimbursement. Please be aware that the full fee would be collected at the end of the session.

  • Before starting therapy, you will be asked to fill out intake paperwork, including consent forms and intake forms detailing your current struggles and your history. In our first session, we will discuss policies and procedures, frequency of sessions, discuss relevant history, your goals, and decide on a treatment plan together. You may ask any questions you have about the therapy process.

  • The No Surprises Act (H.R. 133) was designed to protect you as the consumer from receiving unexpected medical bills. You have the right to a “good faith estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost prior to initiating treatment or before your scheduled appointment.

  • Please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. If you want to talk to someone right away, you can also call the San Diego Access and Crisis Line (800-724-7240).

  • HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. You can learn more about your rights under HIPAA here.
